Emilee Smith

Emilee Smith is 28 years old athlete from Sacramento, Ca. She stumbled upon Obstacle Course Racing in 2015 and was instantly hooked. She just started running open heat races just to see what she was capable of all while working a full-time job. Emilee ran her first elite heat in December of 2015. She needed a challenge and tried to prove to herself that she was capable of achieving so much more. Since then she has competed in over 70 races, gaining momentum with every finish, but she is just getting started!

She didn't start racing with a huge athletic background, she played sports when she was young but truly didn't start getting serious about working out until she was about 23 years old. She says she remembers seeing the Elite Women's heat and thinking, "I could never be like them..." four short years ago - but now she is exactly what she thought she could never be. It is an absolute honor for her to be competing with the top athletes in the world of OCR! Most recently she competed in the Spartan Race Team World Championship Race where along with her teammates, they were able to place 3rd among the best teams from around the world. 2018 has been a huge year of achievements for her and Emilee cannot wait to see what 2019 brings!
