Matt Daniels, a Nike Trail Runner found his way to the world of trail running after building his resume on the track and roads. After accomplishing a sub 4minute mile, and an olympic marathon trails qualifier he made the decision to combine his love for running and the mountains to give Mountain/Trail running a try. Matt represented team USA 3 times at the world Mountain champs before making the jump into the trail ultra world in 2017 running his first 50k. 2019 was a breakout year winning his debut 100k at the Black Canyon Ultra gaining a golden ticket to compete at the Western States 100 miler. At his first time at Western States and his first attempt at 100 miles, Matt finished 4th place with an opportunity to return in 2020.
In addition to his own professional running career, Matt is a coach. He believes in using his experiences from racing the mile to 100 miles in helping others dream big and accomplish anything!
Matt's favorite spring product to fuel him through long training days is Speednut caffeine. He loves the added calories it provides.
